Second-guessing isn’t a personality flaw.

Hey Visionary,

If you’ve been circling the same decision for weeks, it’s not because you’re flaky or "bad at committing." 

Most of the time, second-guessing just means you’re trying to make big decisions in real time, with no filter and no guardrails.

Your brain is doing its job: scanning for every possible outcome, every "what if," every way this could go sideways.

That’s not a personality flaw.

That’s a structure problem.

Instead of asking, "Is this the right decision?" over and over again, give yourself one simple rule:

If it doesn’t support this quarter’s goal, it waits.

Before you say yes to:

  • a new offer

  • a collab

  • a marketing idea

  • a platform everyone says you "have" to be on

Ask:

  1. Does this clearly support what I’ve already decided this quarter is for?

  2. Do I have the capacity (time + energy) to do it well?

  3. Will I still be glad I said yes to this 90 days from now?

If the answer is murky, it’s not a no forever.

It’s a "not right now," on purpose.

That’s how you rebuild trust with yourself:

  • You stop moving the goalposts every week.

  • You stop saying yes out of fear you’ll miss your shot.

  • You start seeing evidence that your decisions actually line up with what you say you want.

Confidence doesn’t magically appear first and then make decisions easy.

Confidence follows clarity.

And clarity comes from deciding ahead of time what this season is for—and letting everything else wait.
